Don’t miss the last chance to enjoy the thought-provoking social justice art exhibit - Shelter: Crafting a Safe Home here in Pittsburgh. Shelter features 14 artists from the US and abroad with 35+ works that explore the pressing public issues of human displacement and housing insecurity through the lens of craft.

Enjoy a Saturday of art, entertainment, and community building as we celebrate the closing of Shelter: Crafting a Safe Home. This event is open to the public with a $5 suggested donation at the door.

  • Dance Performance
     
  • Dialogue with the Artists. Shelter‘s exhibiting artists will hold an informal artist talk to share their thoughts on their artwork and the issue explored through Shelter. 
     
  • A writer-in-residence from the City of Asylum will share their thoughts and experiences with in relation to the topics and themes explored in Shelter:Crafting a Safe Home.
